Zero Authority V2

Solutions and features on the platform

PreviousZero Authority V2 on TestnetNextMFA for All Access Points

Last updated 6 months ago

Solutions and features for each of the platform’s main components. This includes Gigs, Bounties, Endorsements, and Reputation Badges to create a more engaging and scalable ecosystem.

1. Gigs

The Gigs feature in V2 should focus on giving users flexibility in how they complete tasks and earn rewards. Here are the key gig types:

  • Retroactive Gigs: Allow users to submit proof of work for tasks completed before the gig was posted. This feature can reward community members who have already contributed valuable work without prior reward.

  • Fixed Gigs: Standard gig format where users complete a set task for a specified reward. This is straightforward and appeals to those seeking clarity on payout and deliverables.

  • Milestone-Based Gigs: Break tasks into smaller, trackable milestones, allowing contributors to receive partial rewards as they achieve each stage. This structure can incentivize ongoing contributions and help participants stay motivated on longer-term tasks.

2. Bounties

The V2 Bounties feature should allow multiple formats to suit the range of tasks and encourage broader participation:

  • Community Bounties: Open bounties that allow the community to submit entries without strict restrictions. The most valuable contributions are rewarded, promoting inclusivity and grassroots involvement.

  • Single Winner Bounties: Bounties where only the best submission is rewarded, ideal for high-stakes challenges that require precision and high quality.

  • Multiple Winners Bounties: Allows for several winners (e.g., top 5 or top 10 entries) to share the reward. This format can encourage higher engagement since more participants have a chance of winning something.

  • Top 3 Winners Bounties: A structured bounty format where the top three entries receive scaled rewards (e.g., 1st place gets 50%, 2nd place 30%, and 3rd place 20%). This structure is ideal for competitive bounties with a focus on high-quality results.

3. Endorsements (P2P Recommendations)

Endorsements should be enhanced in V2 to strengthen trust and credibility through peer-to-peer recommendations:

  • P2P Recommendations: Enable users to endorse each other based on specific skills or contributions, providing a reputation layer that builds credibility and trust across the platform. Each endorsement could have a category, rating, and a short feedback note to give context to the endorsement.

  • Verification and Impact of Endorsements: Introduce a system where the frequency and quality of endorsements affect a user’s reputation score. Verified users and long-standing community members could have a higher impact on endorsements, reinforcing trust.

  • Endorsement History: Display an endorsement history to showcase a user’s contributions and positive interactions, helping potential collaborators gauge reputation and trustworthiness.

4. Reputation Badges

Reputation Badges are crucial for recognizing and incentivizing contributions across Gigs, Bounties, and Endorsements. V2 could enhance these badges as follows:

  • Gig Completion Badges: Issue badges for successful completion of gigs, with tiered badges for completing multiple gigs, signaling a user’s reliability and experience.

  • Bounty Success Badges: Award badges for winning or placing in bounties, recognizing competitive accomplishments and technical skill. Different levels of badges could reflect single, top-three, and multiple-winner bounties.

  • Endorsement Badges: Offer badges for receiving a high number of endorsements, which signify a user’s reputation and trustworthiness in the community. Peer validation badges reinforce the value of community-driven trust.

  • Levels and Rarity: Create badge levels (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold) based on the number of successful engagements across gigs, bounties, and endorsements. Rare badges could be unlocked by completing high-impact gigs or top-level bounties, adding an element of exclusivity.

The testnet integration on Chronosagora enables users to explore these features in a testing environment, allowing for real-time feedback and adjustment. Key features to test include:

  • Testing Different Gig and Bounty Types: Users can experiment with retroactive, fixed, and milestone gigs as well as various bounty formats to see how they work in practice.

  • Endorsement and Badge Functionality: Users can test the P2P recommendation system, verify endorsement impacts, and view the badge issuance process to ensure the design is robust and meets community expectations.
