Memory & Personalization

Nova remembers your conversations and can learn context-specific information about your server or group. This makes interactions faster and more relevant over time.

How Memory Works

Nova uses a tiered memory system:

  • Recent context β€” Nova remembers the last few messages in your conversation for natural follow-ups

  • Short-term memory β€” Key topics from the last 48 hours are retained for continuity

  • Long-term memory β€” Important facts and summaries are stored for up to 30 days

Blockchain-related conversations are prioritized for longer retention.

Teaching Nova

You can ask Nova to remember specific facts about your server or group.

Example prompts:

"Remember that our project token is WELSH" "Our treasury address is SP123..." "We use ALEX DEX for all our swaps"

Nova will store these facts and recall them in future conversations within the same context.

Recalling Memories

Example prompts:

"What do you remember about our project?" "What's our treasury address?"

User Preferences

Personalize how Nova interacts with you.

Example prompts:

"Set my timezone to UTC-5" "I prefer detailed responses" "My preferred language is Spanish"

Available preferences:

  • Timezone

  • Response style (concise vs detailed)

  • Language preference

  • Personal notes

Your preferences follow you across all servers and groups where Nova is active.
