# ZADAO Alerts

Get alerts for activity on [Zero Authority DAO](https://zeroauthoritydao.com): bounties, gigs, quests, campaigns, and grants. Four feeds are configured with a slash-command wizard; grants are configured conversationally by just talking to Nova.

| Feed | Command | Triggers | Filters / options |
| ------------- | ------------ | --------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Bounties** | `/bounty` | Bounty created, entry submitted, bounty completed | Campaign filter, submission alerts toggle, per-type channels (Discord) |
| **Gigs** | `/gigs` | Gig created, gig completed | — |
| **Quests** | `/quest` | New quest, quest joined, activity completed, ending/ended | Alert-type selection, campaign filter, per-type channels (Discord) |
| **Campaigns** | `/campaigns` | Campaign created | — |
| **Grants** | *ask Nova* | New grant, milestone completed, grant completed | Category, per-event toggles, minimum amount |

A **Campaign** is what was formerly called a "Hub" on ZADAO.

## How Setup Works

The four command-based feeds all follow the same wizard flow, on Telegram and Discord alike:

1. Run the feed's command (`/bounty`, `/gigs`, `/quest`, or `/campaigns`).
2. Select **"Notifications Setup"**.
3. Toggle alerts on or off.
4. **(Discord only) pick a channel** for the alerts — skip in DMs. Where a feed supports it, you can route different alert types to different channels.
5. Set the feed-specific options below, review, and confirm. A success message means the alerts are live.

On Telegram, don't click selection buttons too quickly — Telegram may temporarily rate-limit excessive interactions.

## Bounties — `/bounty`

| Trigger | Details |
| -------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Bounty Created** | A new bounty was posted — includes Campaign, title, prize, type (single/multi-winner), deadline |
| **Entry Submitted** | Someone submitted to a bounty you're tracking (optional) |
| **Bounty Completed** | A bounty was completed — includes winner(s) and prize info |

Options: submission alerts on/off, and an optional **Campaign filter** to only receive bounties from specific organizations. On Discord you can route bounty alerts and submission alerts to different channels.

## Quests — `/quest`

Choose which of these alert types to receive:

| Trigger | Details |
| ---------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **New Quest Created** | A quest went live — title, campaign, deadline, rewards |
| **Quest Joined** | Someone joined a quest — participant address, STX amount, participant count |
| **Activity Completed** | Someone completed a quest activity |
| **Quest Ending/Ended** | Reminder \~24 hours before the deadline, plus a notice when it closes |

Options: an optional **campaign filter**, and on Discord a **channel per alert type** (e.g. new quests in #announcements, joins in #activity). On Telegram all selected types go to the same chat.

**Permissions:** in Telegram groups only group admins can set up quest alerts; in Discord servers only members with **Manage Messages** or **Administrator**. Anyone can set them up via DM.

## Grants — Just Ask Nova

Unlike the feeds above, grant alerts have **no command or wizard** — configure them conversationally by mentioning or DMing Nova. In public groups/servers only admins and moderators can configure them; DM Nova for personal alerts.

| Trigger | Details |

| **New Grant** | A new grant appeared — project name, category, description, amount, network, and grantee |
| **Milestone Completed** | A grant completed one of its milestones — includes progress (e.g. 2/4) and milestone name |
| **Grant Completed** | A grant reached Completed status |

| Option | Values | Default |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------- | -------------- |
| **Grant categories** | DeGrants, BlueSky, Community, SocialFi | All categories |
| **New grants** | on / off | on |
| **Milestones** | on / off | on |
| **Completions** | on / off | on |
| **Minimum amount** | Any number (awarded or requested amount floor) | No floor |

> @Nova alert me about new DeGrants grants above 5,000

Changing a setting later works the same way — Nova updates only what you ask for and keeps the rest untouched. Ask *"what ZADAO alerts do I have in this chat?"* to review, or *"turn off grant alerts"* to stop.

{% hint style="success" %}
All of these alerts also appear in your web dashboard's [Alerts Hub](/nova-bot/alerts-setup-guides/managing-your-alerts-web-dashboard.md), alongside every other Nova alert.
