# Alerts Setup Guides

Step-by-step guides to set up Nova's alerts on Discord and Telegram.

Two things apply to every guide in this section:

* **Where alerts work:** alerts are available in Telegram groups, Discord servers, and Direct Messages (unless a guide says otherwise).
* **One session at a time:** you can only run one command session at a time — use `/cancel` to abort a session.

**Alerts get set up in two ways.** Most blockchain alerts use a **slash-command wizard** (`/nova`, `/premium`, `/bounty`, …) that walks you through the options. Others — grants, events, governance, and personal Smart Alerts — are **conversational**: you just describe the alert to Nova.
